We respect privacy concerns. When you turn in a device with data on it, all files and personal information are erased securely. This standard applies to everyone we serve. There are different possible scenarios:

• If a computer hard drive is going to be repurposed, the data is securely erased, not just “moved to the trash”.
• If a computer or laptop hard drive is not going to be repurposed, it will be physically destroyed for precious metal recovery.
• If a phone or tablet is going to be repurposed, it will be factory reset.
• If a phone or tablet is going to be scrapped for precious metals, it will be physically destroyed.

Businesses can request a certificate of destruction.
